OUR STORY
TRUE by K. Nicole® was built from lived experience and an unmet need for care that honors both the medical and emotional realities of hair loss.
What began as a passion for protective styling evolved during founder Kendra Holmes’ own postpartum hair loss journey. While searching for solutions that supported scalp health, comfort, and long-term wear, she encountered a gap between cosmetic offerings and the level of clinical care hair loss truly requires.
Unable to find a care model rooted in education, integrity, and advocacy, Kendra began creating what she could not find for herself.
Her work centered on measurement-specific customization, scalp-conscious construction, and protective techniques designed to support healing and daily life. As she provided this level of care, individuals experiencing medical hair loss began seeking her out. These clients were not looking for retail wigs. They were searching for precision, understanding, and dignity.
Through their feedback and lived experiences, it became clear that the care being provided aligned with what is clinically recognized as cranial prosthetic care. This realization led Kendra to formally build the education, compliance, and business foundation necessary to responsibly serve medical hair loss clients.
