Kendra’s journey began with a passion for protective styling and scalp-conscious care. That work took on deeper meaning during her own postpartum hair loss experience, when she searched for solutions that supported healing, comfort, and long-term wear. What she found instead was a gap between cosmetic offerings and the level of clinical integrity and advocacy hair loss care truly requires.

Unable to find a care model that combined education, precision, and long-term support, Kendra began creating the care she could not find for herself.

Her approach centered on measurement-specific customization, scalp-aware construction, and protective techniques designed to support daily life rather than short-term aesthetics. As she provided this level of care, individuals experiencing medical hair loss began seeking her out. These clients were not looking for retail wigs. They were searching for understanding, accuracy, and dignity.

When Clients Name the Care

As Kendra’s client base grew, so did a pattern. Individuals navigating alopecia, treatment-related hair loss, and other medical conditions recognized that the care they were receiving extended far beyond styling.

Through client feedback and lived experience, it became clear that the work being done aligned with what is clinically recognized as cranial prosthetic care. Her clients affirmed that the level of customization, education, and ongoing support met the needs they could not find elsewhere.

Kendra responded by building the formal education, compliance structure, and business foundation necessary to ethically and responsibly support medical hair loss clients. TRUE by K. Nicole® evolved into a specialty cranial prosthesis practice rooted in clinical integrity, advocacy, and continuity of care.
